Sending heartfelt condolences to Mrs Hooper’s family at this time. I will always remember her as I was a student of hers at Herman Secondary School. A very kind, soft spoken and gentle person with a warm smile. Truly one teacher I will always remember. To her family she made an impact to those of us who had the privilege of having her for a teacher.

Not long before I left for a 3 week overseas trip we played a game called Aggrevation with other neighbours - Heather was very good at this game and usually won. We played about once every month and I really looked forward to our hours of laughing and playing. It was shocking when I got home from my trip and learned she was gone. My heart goes out to Barry especially. He is missing this wonderful friend to all of us who knew her.

When I was in grade ten at Patterson Collegiate, I had Miss Coleman as my typing teacher. I remember her fondly, and at the time thought she was sweet and pretty! By the next year she became Mrs. Hooper, to our surprise (and delight!). Both of them chaperoned our group during Canada’s centennial year when we travelled to Canora, Saskatchewan. Wonderful memories. My condolences, Barry, on the loss of Heather. Sincerely, Rosalind Knight (nee Dawson).

Heather was kind, gentle and strong in spirit. I enjoyed her wit and quiet sense of humour. She often spoke of her family with pride and love. It was a joy to have her as a friend. She will be greatly missed. My condolences, Barry, to you and your family.

I met Heather at a painting group, she always had a smile . She was very close to Vicky of the art group, who had passed before her. I am sure Vicky and her son has greeted her in Heaven. We have shared some painting sessions at her place. She was always gracious and willing to share with the group. I will miss her.
