Obituary of William Thomas Sutherland

On April 15/2024 it is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing
of William Thomas Sutherland. He is now free from pain and suffering. Beloved husband and
best friend Katherine of 65 years.Cherished and loving father to Brian (Darlene) Sutherland,
Susan (Roger) Lamb, and  William Jr (Debbie) Sutherland. Very proud grandfather to 11
grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews that he adored.He
brightened the lives of all who knew him. Predeceased by his parents Felix and Elizabeth
Sutherland and Inlaws Kathleen and William Gould.Survived by siblings Mary and the late
Raymond Perron, Roseann (Douglas) Mullen,Vince (Marian) Sutherland,Margaret and the late
Sergio Bisetto. Sister and Brother in laws the late Yvonne (Don) Mitchele, Late William (Rose)
Gould, Late Ralph (Audrey) Gould, Late Carl (Mary) Gould, Late Joyce (Mike) Micelli, Gloria
and late Lynn Short. Alvin (Eileen) Gould, Raymond (Veronica) Gould, the late Deanna (Frank) Moore, and Karen (Wayne) McVittie. William retired from Chrysler Security of 28 years. He was an amazing Artist and loved to share his paintings with family and friends. Loved to go fishing with the Four Casters which he
looked forward to every year. He spent 28 years at Campers Cove with his family and
friends. Many good times and practical jokes played on people he knew. He will be deeply
missed by his close friends Don and Maureen Seeger.The family would like to thank Erie
Shores Hospital and the second floor nursing staff for such great care. Also Erie Shores
Hospice in Leamington for making his final days so peaceful and the family got to be by his side.
We were treated with such kindness, they made everyone feel comfortable. Cremation has
taken place and he is resting at Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Windsor ON. Celebration of life will
be at a later date.
