Throughout his career he negotiated and arbitrated collective agreements for fire locals across the province and met with members of the Provincial government on issues affecting fire fighters and their families. While addressing all the issues at the Provincial and Municipal level he met constantly with executive officers of the Police Associations at the Municipal level and provincially with the executive of the OPP. During retirement, Jack was invited to be a member of the Ontario Provincial Police Veterans Association and became a Life Member.
