Dear Mazzotta family, dear Rosa…… I just found out about Mme Carmela……. No words can describe this lady. She was an exceptional neighbour… her talking Italian to me… and me responding in French. We understood each other sometimes only with our facial expressions. She will be missed. She was taking care of her garden and sharing her joy every summer! Dear Mazzotta Family: I was very heartbroken and saddened to read this. I would meet up with Mrs. Mazzotta many times during my walks. What a beautiful, kind and lovely woman! She would be singing Italian songs while she was walking and speaking to me in Italian. Heaven certainly has gained an Angel. "Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed, and very dear." May the warmth of precious memories and the love of family and friends bring you comfort and peace. My deepest condolences Sergio and Domenic. She was such a sweet and kind soul, I still remember when I was little she would make the best peanut butter cookies and tell me “mangiare, mangiare” to keep eating. I definitely had no complaints. Sending my love and prayers to the family.

Domenic and Sergio, we are so very sad but the sudden passing of your mother. Your mother had a big heart especially for Marcello. He loved coming to her house and especially adored her garden. Carmela was such a sweet lady, she would never let Marcello leave before giving him sprinkle cookies and vegetables. She will forever be in our hearts. Sending our prayers to you both. Paul and I were saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Zia Carmela. I remember fondly how whenever we came to Windsor to visit, she would be one of the first to come over and see us.
