Obituary of Marguerite Pauline McCartney

The children of the late Marguerite Pauline (nee Laforet) McCartney announce the passing of their mother on February 7, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas John McCartney, July 23, 1994.

Predeceased by her brothers Clarence “Red” Laforet (Betty) and Paul Laforet (Cora).

Loving mother of Terry and Glenna McCartney, Sandra and Ken Gietz, and Kathy McCartney. She was predeceased by three sons, Brian Thomas, Dennis Michael, and Gary Paul.

She will be sadly missed by her loving grandchildren Sarah, Amy, Josh, Jennifer, Scott, Brent, and Eric who were so special to her.

Dear great-grandmother of Austin, Tanner, Abigail, Haley, Julian, Skyler and Brianna, the late Samuel and great-great-grandmother of Avery.

Mom was a member of the retired School Secretary’s Association and worked for the London Diocese Marriage Tribunal for many years, and was an active parishioner of St. Theresa Church.

Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will take place at a later date. Many thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Heron Terrace Nursing Home.
