Cecile and Family, My deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Gord has always been a true friend of The Regiment and myself over all these long years. I first met Gord while a student at W.F. Herman and his love of all things military always shone like a beacon for all to see. The only thing that made Gord smile more than the army was his great love for his family. We spent many hours talking about our grandchildren and what a great joy they are to us grandparents. He will be greatly missed by all of us, but I take comfort in knowing that he will always be looking down upon us, either approvingly or disapprovingly, dependant on whether or not we are heeding the lessons he taught us all, and sending us guidance from beyond these earthly bounds. My thoughts are with you today from Afghanistan and I dearly wish I could be there in person to add whatever comfort and solace I could provide to your family in your time of sorrow. Sincerely Ron Trottier Commanding Officer Windsor Regiment (RCAC) PS: Gord - SEMPER PARATUS FOREVER

Dear Mascaro Family: I received the news about Mr. Mascaro's passing from my cousin Harry Woodend in Florida. We were both students at Riverside High School in the late 50's and early 60's. Mr. Mascaro was my junior football coach and grade 10 English teacher. What a wonderful man he was. I saw him a few years ago at a play at the University of Windsor. He was with Mr. O'Gorman at the time and we reminisced about the old high school days. Please accept my condolences. Tom Hawken

My sympathies on the loss of your loved one. Sorry to hear of the passing of this dear man. He was at Herman when I went there in the 70s and always remembered him. He spotted me in the hospital cafeteria about a year ago. What a memory! I also have ties to Holy Rosary on my father's side. I'm sure he's continuing his "chores" on the other side of the rainbow.

Dear Chris Mathew and Connie my deepest sympathy. I have never emailed condolences before but when I saw the obituary I immediately rembered the friendly smile and hello he aways had when we met. In this time of sadness take strength in the respect he showed for others and unique way he made you feel important just because he remembered your name. He was a special teacher, parent, Grandparent, and sports fan and he radiated family values and that I admired most. He is truely a person in our community that we could and should admire. Once again My deepest sympathy Shawn Boutette

Dear Cecile and family: We have known your family since Ipperwash back in the 60's and 70's. Gord was a friendly, kind man, always greeting everyone with a smile. I so admired his loyalty and dedication to his mother-in-law at Malden Park. He also befriended many of the other residents - I especially think of Ken who died this past year. We always admired the fact that although he had difficulty walking, he could still get out and play hockey. He will be sadly missed by so many. Our sincerest condolences, the Pepper family

Dear Cecile, I was thinking of you and your family today as the sun was shining and the air was crisp, knowing that you were laying Gord to rest. As a couple, you both warmed my heart at your closeness, gentle nature, and respect you visibly shared for each other. I am deeply saddened for you and your family for your loss. Also, I must admit, that part of my sadness is also about how much my Mother would have wanted to help you during this time, as well as rejoice in Gord's own meeting with God. I pray that your wonderful memories of your time with Gord, and the support of your family and friends, will help you during this time of sorrow! Keeping you close in thought and prayer, Giselle (Jolicoeur) Baillargeon
