What a beautiful soul, Kimberly was a genuine and caring person in the role she had with JCI and I was privileged enough to have met and worked along side for a short period before she moved on. These kinds of people are truly missed upon this earth. My condolences to the Matton Family.

My deepest condolences go out to Doug and the boys and Kimberly’s extended family.
Kimberly and I worked together at Union Gas back in the 90’s and she was an amazing co-worker and friend. We had sooooo many laughs together and I have such wonderful memories of her. While she was a fantastic co-worker and friend, her greatest joy came from her role as wife and mom. Heaven has a new angel.

My deepest sympathy to you Doug, Teron, Tyler and Conner. You have lost a beautiful wife and mother far too soon. Kim was loving, caring and put everyone ahead of herself. She was always a fighter, starting with herself and sisters fighting over clothes always to fighting for Teron and Tyler’s lives as newborns
To her long and courageous fight with cancer. Kim had a wonderful laugh, I can close my eyes and hear her. I lost a wonderful cousin and friend and will always be thankful for having her in my life. Rest peacefully now Kim.
Love to you all, Penni

My heart goes out to Doug and family. The Murphy girls have known the Patterson's since we were kids, playing in the neighborhood. Pam and Kim were close friends. I listened to the journey Kim was on and was inspired by her resilience. May you find comfort in this trying time.

Doug, Teron, Tyler, and Connor. My deepest sympathies. It was a pleasure and an honour to have worked with Kimberly twice in my career at Siemens and JCI. Kimberly was a true leader and mentor, and I will forever be grateful for what she imparted to me. I believe I inherited my love for red wine from her as well. We shared a few delicate glasses during our Via One trips to Toronto while working at Siemens, which gave me a new appreciation for this fine elixir. Her greatest passion, however, was always you.... not a day went by where she didn't speak about each of you. Rest in peace, Kimberly. You will never be forgotten.

To all four of her beautiful Matton men, Kimberly was simply the best. Whenever she walked into a room it was always brighter. Her laugh contagious, her stories about her beloved boys most heartfelt, dedication to Doug and their unwavering lifelong love, nothing less than remarkable. As radiant as she was on the outside, she was even more so on the inside. For nearly 40 years we've watched your parents as a steady ship facing every aspect of their lives with determination compassion and resolve. Kim herself went from a brilliant career, to full dedication to her loving family life, that she ran with high standards and deep love. This horrible illness may have taken the vessel, but not her love, spirit and legacy. She is too defiant to leave us and I know that every time we hear trees rustle, the trickle of a swimming pool, or her boys laughter, we will be forever reminded of her grace, dignity and giant heart. The heavens have a new star who will shine on us all. Forever missed and loved, but never forgotten, she lives on. Thank you Kimberly for showing us what courage and grace really is. God speed.
