Mili, our dear sweet neighbor for several years here in Colchester. Such a kind and endearing heart and a work ethic that would put most to shame. Never with an unkind word but always with words of encouragement and support for those around her.
She frequently told tales of her past experiences from her birth to her refuge camp experiences to her arrival in Canada and then onto her pioneering adventures as one of the early assembly line workers at Chrysler.
She could be found tending to her enormous flower gardens in the morning as early as the sun rose. Offering a passerby a shot of slivovitz and could also be spotted swimming and exercising in Lake Erie in the afternoon.
I had the fortune of chatting with her many many times a week as she went in to great detail about her life, her family and her take on world politics.
I also had the good fortune to have videoed some of those conversations with her permission of course. Quite the story and one many would not believe would have occurred. I have related many of those adventures to others as worldly life lessons in the tone....(So you think you have/had it bad eh....)
I came to not only enjoy the stories but also to accept her morning refreshments as well. Thankfully she also served tea and coffee. She will be missed and we would like to express our condolences to her family and thank them for the opportunity WE had to share her company and for the many hours of laughter she provided. Rest in peace my dear! https://s3.amazonaws.com/skins.funeraltechweb.com/tribute-gestures/v2/police.png https://s3.amazonaws.com/skins.funeraltechweb.com/tribute-gestures/v2/candles/material_candle_orange.jpg
