Obituary of Janet Leigh Pundyk

PUNDYK, Janet (nee Spoiala)

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear Janet at the age of 69 on August 13, 2023. Beloved wife for 42 years to Dan Pundyk. Cherished mother of Chad (Megan Laforet), Darren (Krystal Grant), and Christine (Tony) Angerett. Proud grandmother to Brionna McLean, Mason Riggs and Ella Grant. Dear sister of June Muir (William Mitchell) and George Spoiala (Sharri Hamelin). Reunited with her parents Trian and Irene Spoiala. She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews and extended families. Janet was a teacher at Mason Educational Centre and was a member of OSSTF and Ontario College of Teachers. The family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, staff at WRH – Met Campus the Cancer Clinic as well as The Hospice of Windsor who went above and beyond to care for our Janet. Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME – BANWELL CHAPEL, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 2- 5 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:30 am in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
