Janet, thank you for all that you did for me. You believed in me when I didn't. You gave me a push when I needed it. You encouraged me, supported me, and were so proud of me when I reached my goals. Because of you. Thank you. I will and have never forgotten what you did for me. You know how special our relationship was and how much your encouragement meant to me. I will never forget you. You will always have a place in my heart. Rest peacefully. Xoxo

My condolences to the Pundyk family.
Mrs. Janet was more than just a teacher! She was supportive of me when my mom passed away last year & I was having issues at school. She would always smile & speak postively. Her stories & ways of thinking is something I'll always miss! May the Lord hold her dear. God bless.

I just got the news today about my teacher Janet... I'm so devastated to hear that she is no longer with us. Janet was such an amazing teacher and really taught me well. She helped me overcome my English and pushed me into the right direction. She will be dearly missed by many of her students! Janet is one teacher I'll never forget. ❤️

I am so sad to hear the loss of Janet. We were neighbors for over 35 years. We both watched our children grow from toddlers to young adults. She was a kind, loving and caring person. I was glad to have her as a friend. My condolences to the Pundyk family. If you need anything please remember I am still across the street.

Janet's sweet, smiling face was one of the first to welcome me as a new staff member to Mason Adult Education Centre in 2008. She continued to inspire me with her dedication and compassion for her students and fellow staff members. Janet tirelessly worked regular school days, plus evening and summer school classes, for the benefit of her students and her family. She and I quickly developed a true, heartfelt friendship for which I will always be thankful.
Janet will remain a treasured blessing in my life.

I have known Janet for many years as we both loved teaching our Literacy classes. She taught in Windsor and I taught in Leamington. However, we made an instant connection.
We would attend literacy workshops together which were informative but lots of fun we would have in the evenings at these events. Janet loved to share what she had found on different learning sites and sometimes we would call each other for advice on how to handle our classes. I know she loved her family and especially her children and grandchildren.

I have known Janet for 45 years as the former sister-in-law (Gordon Muir, 2001) of her dear sister June and as an aunt of Janet's niece, Irene. June and Irene, I have seen how much you have loved and treasured Janet. I am very deeply saddened by your loss of her. I'm so grieved for you for such a profound and painful loss of a your dear sister, aunt and very close friend. Please know that I am walking alongside of you during this time of great hardship. I have know Janet to be a wonderful, engaging, kind, thoughtful and giving person. She was so gracious toward my family and toward me. I remember well how, when we came to visit from Colorado, she would plan a delicious meal specifically for us and invite us to her home. How thoughtful was she, to have done this despite that we did not have frequent contact with her after our move and were not directly related to her. I would also like to express my deepest sympathy to the rest of Janet's family including Dan, Bill, Dustin, George and family and to Janet's beloved daughter and sons Christine and spouse, Darren and family, Chad and family and to the many other deeply loved family members and friends. I wish that there were words that I could say or something I could do to to bear some of this great burden for you.
I hope you can find comfort and strength in these promises of God's powerful word:
"The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit". Psalm 34:18
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted". Matthew 5:4
"Now is your time of grief; but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy". John 16:22
"God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in time of trouble". Psalm 46:1
"Peace I leave you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid". John 14:27
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things have passed away". Revelation 21:4
With much love and sympathy, Laurie Grimm (nee Muir) and family

Janet and I started as colleagues but quickly became friends. Our shared "passion for fashion" brought us together, but there was so much more to Janet than her sense of style! She was kind, thoughtful, generous, funny, hard working, sensitive, caring and creative. She never refused to help anyone or turn down a challenge. If nobody else would take on a project, she would always step up to the plate. Wen asked how she could manage to do so many things, her answer was always " You just do what you have to do!" And always with a big smile. Janet, your spirit and smile will always shine brightly!

Janet and I shared a passion for fashion, which took us across the border on several occasions. On these outings, as we got to know each other, we discovered that we both loved to eat good food, great coffee and each other’s company as well. As I got to know her on a deeper level, I was awed by her positive energy and positive outlook in life regardless of the hardships one encountered in life.
Janet loved to plan and organize parties and she did it with such flair. She was instrumental in planning and executing my retirement party even though I was adamant I wasn’t having one! I’m glad she insisted.
You will be missed dearly Janet, but your spirit will live on in the memories we have created.
My deepest condolences to the whole family…
Your friend, Sue

Heartfelt condolences to all of Janet's dear ones. I worked in the same building as her for a number of years and although we were in different programs, she always had a smile and a friendly hello or kind word when we crossed paths in the halls...she was a cheery person who was pleasant to be around. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To a truly unique beauty who knew what it meant to work hard for the benefit of all those she loved, and equally how to play hard lighting up a room with her smile and laughter.
