I knew Mike from our high school years at Assumption and being in band together. Over the years I would bump into Mike and he was always the same happy friendly and generous person I always knew. I only just heard of Michael's passing today, and am so sad to hear he's gone. I will very much miss our conversations and joking around while getting a haircut. He was always busy with a project, and we spent a lot of time chatting about how to get things done. Such a generous soul, and devoted son. I will miss him. My Dear Zio Mike, Where do I even begin to express my gratitude and love for the most amazing Uncle? I have been lost for words as all the memories are overwhelming. I will cherish and keep every memory alive in my heart forever. Colton had such a wonderful man to look up to, and I will remind him of your goodness in all the days to come. Who will MC my wedding? Mike, we've known you forever, our families were one, honoured to have you as our son's confirmation sponsor and we shared many special times together. Mike was a wonderful man, a happy go lucky man, one that loved being a postal worker!! My deepest condolences to the Maio Family. Michael was truly an amazing man. He could always make you laugh or put a smile on your face. He was such a hard working and friendly guy who'd give you the shirt off his back. Michael was an amazing friend, I loved our random hangouts, and working at Canada Post, I was always excited going into work, hoping I'd bump into him. He was taken from us far too soon. The happiness and love we shared will always live in my heart. Time stopped when we were together, like heaven on earth. He made everybody feel like family in such a short time. He brought the light in me and everybody around and always had a way to bring people together. He appreciated every moment with anyone he was with to the fullest and still talked about it for a while because he was so happy about it. Talking so highly of everyone to others. Michael shall always be in my heart as he has been for nearly 40 years. He was the love of my life. Our trip to Niagara Falls was the best vacation I ever had and it was because of Michael's selflessness to make it a perfect vacation. Many of you know his fear of water, he even ventured close to the falls and even got a jacuzzi in the hotel knowing he wouldn't use it because of his fear of water, but wanted the vacation to be perfect for me. I will always cherish the few times I was able to be in his presence, he was definitely one of the good ones. I will miss you Michael and continue to remember you and love you.
