BONOFIGLIO- Franco "Frank"

August 30, 1954- June 26, 2023

With heavy hearts and shattered souls we announce the passing of Franco on June 26, 2023 at the age of 68 years. Leaving behind his loving wife Sandra (Nee Sasseville) of 50 yrs, adoring children Roberto (1997), Giancarlo and Brigida (Dan). Cherished and loved Nonno of Roberto, Sanbri, Dominic, Jocelyn and Natalie. Son of the late Carmine and Edvige Bonofiglio, and the late Rolland and Doreen Sasseville. He will greatly missed by several relatives and friends in Canada, Italy and U.S.A. Franco worked for many years for Collavino Construction and the GECDSB. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends that turned into family but most of all his love of his granchildren. Franco loved music  where he played drums for several years with local Italian Wedding Bands- Five Stars and City Lights. He loved to be in his garage always working on something or making things. He was quite the handyman, no matter whenever anyone needed help, no matter Franco would drop what he was doing and help in anyway he could. We like to give a big Thank You to everyone who came to visit, call or text, and brought food. A very special thank you to Dr. Valke, Dr Burgess, and the amazing staff (RN's, RPN,s, PSW, Volunteers, cooks, cleaners) at Erie Shores Hospice Residential. We are in debt to you all. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E (519)253-7235 on Saturday July 1, 2023 from 7 to 9pm and Sunday July 2, 2023 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm. Prayers Sunday at 4:30pm. Relatives and friends will be received for visitation on Monday July 3, 2023 at Good Shepherd Parish (462 Advance Blvd) Lakeshore ON from 10am until time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy donations may be made to Erie Shores Hospice Residential would be appreciated by the family.
