Obituary of Ann Nykilchuk

NYKILCHUK, Ann nee Wolochatiuk Passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of June 5, 2008 at the age of 87 years just 20 days short of her 88th birthday. Reunited with her late husband Peter (1995) and late son George (1995). Beloved mother of Peter and wife Marianne. Adored grandmother to Lani and Tom, and Daniel. Survived by her sister Hope Evanyshyn (late husband Murray) , who cared for her so lovingly for the 5 months she was convalescing from her first round of chemo. Predeceased by her sisters Jean and husband Tony, Nell and husband Walter, and by her brothers Steve and surviving wife Mary, Mike and wife Nell, John, and Hilary. Survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Ann was an active member of the Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukranian Byzantine Church, a member of the C.W.L., and a loyal choir member. She also helped the Ukrainian Federation making perogies and cabbage rolls. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Road East on Monday, June 9, 2008 from 2-5 and 7-9, Panakhyda Monday at 7:30 pm. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1505 Langlois Ave. from 9:30 am until Funeral Mass at 10 am. Burial to take place in Dauphin, Manitoba at a later date. Donations may be made to Sts. Vladimir and Olga Catholic Church Building Fund or to Transition To Betterness.
