Obituary of Steve Sr. Kost

KOST, Steve Sr. Peacefully, in his 86th year. Steve, with devoted wife Martha at his side for 62 years, unstintingly and proudly raised four successful sons: Steve Jr. (predeceased), Bill (wife Deniese), Mark (wife Alexandra), and Jim (wife Nancy). Loving grandchildren Ryan and Shelly, Jenny and Hannah, Alexander and Claire, and great grandchildren Madison and Chloe will remember Steve's kindness. Sister Helen and brother John carry on that Kost generation. Steve was regarded by some as Windsor's best kielbasa maker. He continued to make friends with his gentle manner even in his last days. Sincere thanks to all those at Regency Park Nursing Home, who made his last days so comfortable, to the Doctors and Nurses at Met Hospital, 5th Floor and the kind people who came to visit Steve, especially Fr. Martin Vavrak. Friends will always remember his "Have no fear, Steve is here" quote. Friends will be received at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Monday, June 23, 2008 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Services on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Chapel. Fr. Lajos Angyal officiating. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
