Obituary of Zofia Barbara Klimowicz
KLIMOWICZ, Zofia Barbara (nee Kanski) Passed away peacefully with loving family at her side on June 17, 2008 at Hotel Dieu Hospital, at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Henryk (Sept. 5, 1981). Dear daughter of the late Feliks (1965) and Antonina (1981). Loving mother of George (Windsor) Mariano and wife Joyce (Windsor) and Elizabeth and husband Nick Elias (Vaughn). Loving grandmother of Malcolm, Allister and Justin Klimowicz and Katie, Mark and Michael Elias. Dear sister of Maria Zehaluk (Windsor), Halina Rudomino-Dusiacki (Los Angeles) and Ludwik Kanski (UK). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Zofia was a WWII Veteran in the Polish Army under British Command. She worked in the Army's YMCA and Motor Pool. Zofia was a kind and gentle woman who touched many lives and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her passion was her gardening especially in the spring when she would tend to her roses and tulips. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, June 20, 2008 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Friday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. from the Windsor Chapel then to Holy Trinity Polish Church for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Msgr. Roman Waszkiewicz and Msgr. Peter Sanczenko officiating. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
