Obituary of Lawrence Eastlake

EASTLAKE, Larry Born December 20, 1937 - passed away June 4, 2008. Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth. And danced the skies on laughter - silvered wings. Husband of Margret ( Reid ) for 46 years. Father of Christine Eastlake, Moya Darling ( Larry ), Phyllis Eastlake, Eric & wife Tina. Proud Grandpa of Adrianne, Neil, Colin, Cameron, Zach, Mollie, Chloe, Caitlin, Caleb and the late Mitchell (2000). Larry was the son of Bill (1995) & Fidelis (1983) Eastlake. He leaves 3 sisters Pat Brideau ( Paul), Sandy Major (Ken) and his " Baby Sister " Audrey LaBute ( Paul). He was the brother-in-law of Moya & Wayne Mantha, Mick & Lynne Reid, and Elaine Reid. Many nieces & nephews from the Eastlake & Reid families will remember him fondly. He was a proud member of the Windsor Police Service from 1965 to 1995 and enjoyed his 13 years of retirement. Larry the Cop will be missed by his early morning coffee friends at Timmie's ( Tim Horton's ) at Walker & Ypres and afternoons at Jerry & Jenny's. He was a proud & grateful participant in the Pulmonary Rehab Program at I.O.D.E. Campus of Windsor Western Hospital. Visitation at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home 1700 Tecumseh Rd East ( 519-253-7234) on Saturday from 7 - 9 P.M. and Sunday 2-5 & 7-9 P.M. Parish prayers on Sunday P.M. Relatives and friends are requested to meet at Most Precious Blood Church ( 1947 Meldrum Rd ) on Monday June 9, 2008 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Cremation to follow .
