Obituary of Robert DeRush

DeRush Robert "Rotten Ralph" Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home on June 20, 2008 at the age of 67 years, Beloved husband and best friend of Shirley (nee Nantais). Dear father of Dave and wife Vicki Lynn DeRush of Windsor; and Cathy and husband Matt Bergeron, of Harrow. Dear Grampa Ralph of Kayla and Erica DeRush; and Cody and Alyssa Bergeron. Dear son of the late Jack and Mabel DeRush. Dear brother of Cecilia DeRush, Elizabeth Trach, and the late Mary-Anne DeRush, and Raymond DeRush. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Mr. DeRush was retired, following nearly 35 years of service as a Firefighter with the Windsor Fire Department. The family extends sincere thanks to Paramedics Pete and Brad and their crew, as well the crew of Engine 6. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Sunday June 22, 2008 from 7-9 p.m., and on Monday from 2-5 & 7-9 p .m. Funeral Service Tuesday June 24, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in the Windsor Chapel, with Fire Department Padre, Fr. Mike Graham officiating. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. The family extends sincere thanks to Paramedics Pete and Brad and their crew, as well as the crew of Engine who so desperately tried to save Ralph. The family would also like to thank Windsor Chapel Funeral Home for the beautiful Funeral and all the arrangements they did for us, without their help I could have never made it. We would also like to thank the Pall bears, Dave, Larry, John-Paul, Mike, John and Ed. Thanks also goes out to the Hook and Ladder Club for the beautiful Luncheon they prepared for us after the services were all done.
