Obituary of Emilia Marie Francoise Genest

GENEST, Emilia Marie (nee Mercier) of Windsor, originally from St. Isidore QC Passed away peacefully on July 14, 2008 surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Leo Paul Genest. Loving mother of Joanne Ramsay (Alain), Lucie Simard (late Marcel Simard), Diane Genest. Devoted Grandmother to Stephane Ramsay. Sister of Jean Noel Mercier (late Jeannette Mercier), Marie Jeanne Gosselin (late Alfred Gosselin), Laura Tardif (late Robert Tardif), Sr. Jeannette Mercier, Sr. Rosilda Mercier, Marie Routhier (Alphonse Routhier), Emilienne Parent (Guy Parent), Andre Mercier (Francoise Mercier), Marcel Mercier (France Mercier), Madelaine Montminy (late Donald Montminy). Emilia will be sadly missed by a large circle of family and friends. Emilia was associated with many community organizations including Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Missions, Union Culturel, Federation des Femmes Chretienne, Femmes Auxilliaire and Place Concorde. She was an active member of St. Jerome Parish in Windsor. Special thanks to Michelle and Miraz I.C.U. at Hotel Dieu Hospital. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services Thursday, July 17, 2008 from 9:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Jerome Church for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
