Obituary of Gesualda "Gina" La Tona

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gesualda “Gina” La Tona (nee Rubino) on May 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Reunited in heaven with her loving husband of 31 years, Giuseppe La Tona (1979). Loving mamma to Guido (Rosaria), Gaspare (Anna Maria), and Marcella (Domenic). Beloved nonna to Giuseppe (Stacey Wirth), Antonino, Daniele (Mira Jovanovic), Jessica (Chris Hooper), Andrew (Bita), Kristen, Brandon (Samantha), John (Pauline), Joseph (Emma Holland), and Christa. Cherished bisnonna to Gabriele, Marko, and Matteo. Survived by her brother Francesco (Dorotea). Predeceased by her parents Gaspare and Rosa Rubino, and siblings, Giuseppa (Gaspare), Vincenza (Giovanni), and Rocco (Giuseppina). She will forever be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Mom will always be remembered for putting others first, she was an amazing cook, baker, and seamstress. She loved music and singing. Mom was always happy and had a smile on her face.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave., 519.253.7236 on Sunday, May 28, 2023, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers at 3:30 pm. Family and friends are requested to meet at Corpus Christi Parish (1400 Cabana Rd W) for the time of the Funeral Mass on Monday, May 29, 2023, at 1:00 pm. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
