Obituary of Antonio Raco

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a truly remarkable man, loving husband, father, and Nonno, Tony, at 66 years of age. Tony leaves behind the love of his life, Mary, with whom he shared 42 wonderful years. Beloved father to Michael (Diana), Stephen (Tracey), and Amanda (Jon-Carlo). Proud and adored Nonno to Talisa and Teo, Avery and Lennon, Ava and Rocco. Dear son of the late Rocco and late Angelina Raco, and son-in-law of late Pasquale and late Nora Manzone. Loving brother to Maria (Domenic) Taurasi, Carlo (Mona) Raco, John (late Linda) Raco and Giuseppe Raco. Loving brother-in-law to Giuseppe Manzone and Anna (Sam) Greco. He will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Tony treasured his family and took pride in his role as a husband, father and nonno. He was a beautiful soul that drew him to connect with people from all walks of life. He could easily engage people through his story-telling and love of sharing his experiences. Tony was resilient through many of life’s difficult chapters and was a role model of strength and unconditional love.

Dad, thank you for you all that you have given us and instilled in us. Thank you for your love that you shared unconditionally and all the life lessons you guided us with. You are our whole heart and soul. We love and miss you tremendously.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm with Parish Prayers at 4:30pm. Visitation will continue in the Chapel on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 10:00 am with a procession to follow for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at Ste. Anne’s Parish.
