Obituary of Janet Filteau

Filteau (Dupuis, nee Crow), Rose Mary “Janet”

Called into eternal life on May 12, 2023. Predeceased by husbands Percy Dupuis (1970) and Glenn Filteau (2011). Loving mother to Randy (late Anne, 2017), Sue, late David (2003) (Joanne), James, Dan (Carolyn), Percy, Mike (Brenda), Mary Quinlan (Cliff) and Celeste McKenzie (Harry). Grandmother and great grandmother to many.

Janet was born on March 2, 1937 in Chatham, ON and raised by her mother Madeline and her step-father Don Meades. She was one of four children, growing up in a faith based environment, setting her foundation for the rest of her life.

Janet and her husband Percy moved to Tecumseh to start their family. During her years in Tecumseh, and then later in life returning to Chatham, Janet was a proud and faithful woman who was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and Third Order of Saint Francis. Faith and family were paramount in all Janet did each day and she was beautiful inside and out.

The family would like to express sincerest gratitude to the fifth floor west staff at Riverview Garden long term care for their exceptional care and kindness shown to Janet in her final years.

In lieu of flowers, please have a mass said for the souls in purgatory.
