Obituary of Robert Proulx

PROULX, Robert John

Passed away peacefully on May 9th, 2023 at the age of 98. Reunited with his loving wife Irene (2016) whom he shared 68 years of marriage with. Cherished father to Yvette (George) Henkel and Philippe (Marie) Proulx. Will be remembered by grandkids Colleen White, Bill Ryan, Nicole (Dave) Pichler and Robert (Jess) Proulx. Great-grandfather of Breanna, Evan, Jessica and Sophie. Brother to the late Roland, Marcella and the late Jean. He will as well be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Robert dedicated 33 years of his life working for the Canadian National Railway before being happily retired for 39 years. Robert and Irene enjoyed many years golfing, winters in Arizona and time with family. Robert was a member of Father A. Nolan Council 9865 Knights of Columbus and was as a member of the RT. Rev. WJ Langlois Assembly 1789 as a 4th degree.

Special thanks to the staff at Oak Park Terrace for their care and compassion shown towards Robert throughout his many years with retirement living, as well as the nurses and the doctors at WRH - Met Campus 5th and 6th floor for their outstanding care.

Visitation to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Rd E, 519-253-7235 on Friday May 12th from 2-4pm 6-8pm. Knights of Columbus prayers at 7:30pm. Funeral mass to take place on Saturday May 13th, 2023 at St. John Vianney Parish (385 Dieppe St) at 9am. Burial to follow at St. Williams Cemetery (245 Emery Dr, Emeryville).
