Obituary of Cynthia Myers

Cynthia Louise Myers (Nee Hockey) February 26, 1936 - April 24, 2023 Cynthia Louise Myers, beloved wife of the late Edwin Myers (2009), passed away peacefully on April 24, 2023, at the age of 87. She was a cherished mother to Dale (Brenda) Myers, Stephen (Jan) Myers, Laurie (John 2017) Ramocki, and Leslie (Michael) Latouf. Cynthia was predeceased by her parents, Dennis and Frances Hockey, and is survived by her brothers William and Paul Hockey. Cynthia was a proud and loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by many for her dedication to volunteering at Tecumseh United Church, where she made lasting friendships and found great joy in helping others. Cynthia also had a passion for bowling and loved to spend time with her friends on the lanes. Cynthia will be deeply missed by her longtime companion, Milan Bellavy, who was by her side for many years. The family would like to express their gratitude to Tanya and the staff at Extendicare Tecumseh for their care during her illness. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel - Banwell Chapel on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 10am until the time of service at 11am in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tecumseh United Church or a charity of your choice in Cynthia's memory.
