GOMBAR, Lajos “Lyle”

Passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 1st, 2023 at the age of 79. Loving husband to Katalin (Nee Karas), whom he shared 52 years of marriage with. Beloved father to Lisa Gombar and Jason (Maggie). Cherished grandfather to Connor and Madeline. Brother to John (the late Tammy, 2015) Gombar and Katica (Fritz) Pridoehl. Reunited in heaven with parents Ferenc and Erzebet Gombar. Will as well be missed by many extended family and friends.

Lyle was a hard-working self-made man who dedicated 26 years of service to the GM tool room before retiring in 2006. He enjoyed many wonderful years of retirement in his second home on Macro Island with his wife Katalin. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Rd E. 519.253.7234 on Thursday April 6th, 2023 from 3-6pm in the chapel. Cremation to follow. A private family burial will take place at a later date. In memory of Lyle donations may be made to Transition to Betterness (T2B).
