Obituary of Harkanwaljit Kaur Kahlon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harkanwaljit Kaur Kahlon (née Bains) on Friday, March 31st, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and her loss has left a deep void in the hearts of all who knew her. Born on March 2, 1944, Harkanwaljit grew up in Dhandowal and lived a long and full life. She was known for her kind heart and her unwavering love for her family. She was a devoted wife to her predeceased husband Harkishan Singh Kahlon and together they raised 2 children, (Late) Ravneet, and Harleen (Satbir).

Harkanwaljit was also a doting Bade Ma (grandmother) to Kanwar and Aneesha, sister to Harsukhraj (Harinderpal) and Harsukhdeep (Kamal), Massi to Amandeep (Sandeep) and Navneet (Maninder), Bhua to Ritu (Ranjit) and Sunny (Simmi), and Bade Ma to Jasnoor, Amanat, Navraj, Arshia & Simar who all will miss her dearly. She loved spending time with her family, and her home was always open to those in need. She was a true matriarch who held her family together with love and grace. Throughout her life, Harkanwaljit was known for her compassion and generosity. Her kindness touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered for her selflessness and her unwavering faith. Although she is no longer with us, Harkanwaljit's memory will live on through the countless lives she touched during her time on earth. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

We would like to thank the staff at Huron Lodge for their care and respect shown to her during the time she was there.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Tremblay and the Windsor Regional Hospital staff for their utmost kindness and compassion during her final journey.
