Obituary of Frank Biscan

BISCAN, Frank

Passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023 at Hospice of Windsor, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 79. Loving son of the late Alojz and Ana Biscan. Beloved brother to Mary Korenic (late drago) of Milton, ON., Ivan Biscan of Windsor, ON., Barbara Barkovic (late Zvonko), Ankica Lorkovic (Mike); all of Mississauga, ON., Ljubica Knez (Vinko) of Oakville, ON., and predeceased by siblings Steve Biscan (late Helen) and Josip Biscan and surviving wife Oriana of Mississauga. Adored uncle to many nieces and nephews and family in Croatia, Australia and Canada. Frank was a retired employee of Chrysler Canada after many years of dedicated service. He was a member of Unifor Local 444 and St. Francis of Assisi Croatian CatholicChurch. Frank was passionate about the outdoors and was known for having a "green thumb" in making things grow. He will be sadly missed by all who were privileged to have had the opportunity to meet him. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hospice of Windsor for their compassionate care provided to Frank and his family. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 6:00-9:00pm. Prayers at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Turner and Porter Funeral Home, Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel (1981 Dundas St. W., Mississauga, ON) from 5-8 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 10:00am at Croatian Martyrs Parish (4605 Mississauga Rd, Mississauga, ON.). Entombment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Mississauga, ON. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Frank, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor and Essex County (6038 Empress St. Windsor, ON., N8T 1B5).
