Obituary of Beniamino Danti

Born on April 29, 1937 in Cutigliano Pistoia (Toscana), Italy, he grew up in San Giovanni in Fiore (CS), Italy. He immigrated to Switzerland at the age of 25 and then at the age of 49 moved to Canada. Beniamino "Mimmo" passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a long battle with dementia. He will be deeply missed by the love of his life of 63 years Rosetta (Nee Villella). Loving father of Pina Danti-Sampietro (Flavio), Primo Danti (Denise) and Dr. Adriana Danti (Dr. George Asprakis). Dear Nonno of Sara Sampietro-Adaran (Tayo), Mattia Sampietro (Analisa Piazza), Luca, Alex, Vasili and Silvia. Dear Bis-nonno of Ashton, Chiara, Xander, Noemi, and twins on the way. He was the son of the late Giuseppina Lattanza and Primo Danti. Dear brother of Antonio Danti (2008) (Maria Biafora), Mario Danti (1958), Ida Danti (Giovanni Piccolo 1990), Margherita Danti (Giorgio Sampietro 2006), Mariuccia Danti (Carmelo De Napoli), Corrado Danti (Teresa Teramo). Son-in-law of the late Rosa Belcastro and Giovanni Villella. Dear brother-in-law of Joe Villella (Sara). Chiara Tedesco (2022) (Frank), Biagio Villella (Rita), Padre Marcellino Villella, Serafino Villella (Anna), Antonio Villella (2022) (Trisa). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and Italy. Mimmo was a member of the Giovanni Caboto Club. He loved to sing and entertain this led to involvement in San Francesco Di Paola Choir at St. Angela Merici Church. He loved to make his own wine and grappa, which was an art for him. He was an avid gardener; he loved dance and spend time with family and friends and he was always a life of the party. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E (519)253-7234 on Tuesday March 28, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. Prayers Tuesday at 4:30pm. Funeral services on Wednesday March 29, 2023 at 10:15am from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
