Obituary of Gregory Sovan

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Greg Sovan, surrounded by his loving family on March 22, 2023 at 68 years of age. Beloved husband and best friend for 39 years to Ann (nee Thomas). Predeceased by parents Frank (1997) and Mary Sovan (2000). Devoted brother to Margaret Balakowski (Stan). Son in law of Mabel and the late Eddie Thomas (1995). Brother in law of Laure Carom (Don 2022), Kathie Thomas (Mark) and Diane Farquhar (Mike). He leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and wonderful supporting friends. Greg was a caring high school teacher for many years and an avid golf enthusiast.

Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave 519-253-7234 on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 2pm-8pm. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Peter’s Maronite Catholic Church (166 Tecumseh Road W. Windsor) on Monday, March 27, 2023 beginning at 11am. Friends may gather directly at the church. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Greg’s honour to St. Peter’s Maronite Church.
