BOOMER, Doris (nee Nagy)
February 13, 1935 – February 19, 2021
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on, Saturday, February 19, 2021, at the age of 86. Loving wife of William “Bill” Boomer. Cherished mother of Judy Pal, Susan Williamson, Les (Tina), Lori and Lance (Aryanne). Special Grandma of Catherine (Matthew) Hess, Eric Houghton, Erica Houghton, Danielle (Dave) Desjardins, Travis (Devon) Boomer, Jessikyn Desjardins, Justin Falconer and Jake Joncas (2003). Great-Grandma of Oliver, Xavier, Sebastian Hess, Evan Houghton, Abel Kosak, Beau Boomer, and Rowenna (2018).
God-Mother of Iren (Murray) Neal. Predeceased by her parents Aldar and Julianna Nagy. Sister of the late Aladar and late Attila (surviving spouse Iren) Nagy. Sister-in-law of Arlene Lamb, Ken (Patti), Brian (Joanne), Allan (Marianne), and Jim (Carolyn).
Born in Ozd, Hungary, Doris came to Canada in 1956. She worked at Dainty Foods until she retired. She kept her strong Hungarian Culture by teaching Hungarian Traditional Folk Dancing to students at the Hungarian Club and Menzenty Hall. She loved to bake her family’s favourite cannoli’s. Her garden kept her busy throughout the years of her retirement and she loved every minute of it. Doris’s family was important to her, and her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren always brought a special smile to her heart!
Dearly missed and never forgotten. May you rest in peace and be reunited with your family in heaven.
As per Doris’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave., 519-253-7234.
