Obituary of Anne Kostelnik

KOSTELNIK, Anne (nee Dupp) With heavy hearts we said a final goodbye to our family Matriarch on Friday, February 19, 2021, just days before her 91st birthday. She passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by her loving husband, Nick (1994), her parents Jacob (1984) and Elizabeth (1985) Dupp, and her brother, Adam Dupp (1972). Beloved Mother to Ingrid Kostelnik, Norbert (Merri) Kostelnik, and Lori (John) Watson. Cherished Oma to Allison Kostelnik, Mark (Dannielle) Kostelnik, Molly (Charles) Kostelnik, Eric Kostelnik, Thomas Kostelnik, Sean (Emily) Watson, Kelsey (Sebastian) Watson, Megan Watson, and Alyssa Watson. Great Grandmother to Nick, Eva, Lilly, and Alexander Kostelnik. Sister-in Law to Frank (Linda) Kostelnik, the late Josef and Rosi Hermann, and the late Kathe Dupp. Loving Tante to Sylvia (Neil) Holt, Richard (Mary) Dupp, Christel (John) Hutchison, Michelle (Brent) Ramsay, and the late Christine Hermann. Anne attended St. Michael’s German Catholic Church in Windsor Ontario and was a member of the Catholic Women’s League for many years. For the past 8 years she resided at Windermere on the Mount in London Ontario. She actively participated in the many social activities and enjoyed the fellowship of the other residents. She was famous for her horticultural skills and grew the most wonderful Streptocarpus and Orchid plants. She also kept busy knitting hats for the needy. She will be deeply missed. Her sense of humour was infectious, and her optimism was an inspiration to us all. Each of her nine grandchildren had a strong and unique relationship with her. She always told each one, “You are one of my favourites!” A devoted wife and mother, she did not want us to mourn her passing with tears and sorrow. Instead, she asked that we remember her with joy in our hearts and a smile on our face. We are all very grateful to have been a part of her loving family. Rest in peace, until we meet again.
