Dear Patrick,
It is with deepest sadness that we learn of Claire’s passing. She was a dear, schooldays friend, who shared the long walk home with me, along Shepherd Street, from St. Claire High School, discussing all the important issues of the day, for thirteen year olds, lingering to chat longer, when we arrived in front of her house. Claire was always such an uplifting person of good cheer, laughing and enjoying every moment.
We later shared a special event and bond in our lives, when our Aunt Kay married your Uncle Hank - and we became family. Through visits with our dear uncle, after our aunt had passed, we were able to keep up with news of Claire, when she’d moved away to teach.
Our deepest sympathy, from Susan and June Murray, Dawn Shepard and family ~
May your fond memories bring you some comfort, Patrick. I can still see her smiling and laughing…. and
I remember our priest’s words when our father,
John Murray, passed away (2020) ~ “changed, not gone”…. and this applies to us all.
May her soul rest in peace, now free from all.
Love, Susan
