Richard was born and raised in Windsor, On. After a few years of high school he decided to embark on a 20 year career in the Canadian Armed Forces. While stationed in Germany, which was home for many years, he would meet his love and have a family. After retiring from the military in 1976 he would settle in Canada where he would continue with odd jobs which included teaching auto mechanics, supervision and the Reserves. He leaves behind a host of friends throughout the world, most notably Germany. This one time trained killer turned Mrs Doubtfire was the ultimate Jack of all Trades and always there when you needed him. Although we will miss his endless banter and his 1 finger salutes, he is now at peace. A heartfelt thank you to the staff and volunteers of Hospice Windsor for their kindness, compassion and endless patience. Special thanks to his table mates John, Bill and Al at Oak Park Terrace for making his time there memorable.
