Schembri (nee Vasile), Francesca

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the age of 75 years. Loving and devoted wife of Giovanni Schembri with whom she celebrated 59 years of blessed marriage. Proud mother of John Schembri (Joanna), Carmela Schembri (1990), and Nancy Miceli (Phil). Deeply loved and adored nonna of Gianluca, Rosanna and Peter Anthony. Predeceased by her parents Filippo and Vincenza (Lomascolo) Vasile and parents-in-law Giovanni and Carmela Schembri. Dear sister of Calogero (Carol) Vasile and Vincenzo Vasile. Survived by many dear nieces and nephews. Our mother was a compassionate spirit who was devoted to her family. Being with her family is what she enjoyed most of all. She was able to foster a sense of warmth and trust as she attentively listened during conversations that easily flowed. Her kindness and empathy touched all those around her. We are grateful and blessed to have known her unending love. Francesca will truly be missed by family and friends. She will continue to be loved beyond measure. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Renal Dialysis Unit (Bell Building). Funeral Visitation at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Road East, Windsor (519-253-7234) on Wednesday, March 1 from 2-5 and 7-9pm. Parish prayers at 4:30pm. Funeral Mass at St. Angela Merici, 980 Louis Avenue Windsor, on Thursday, March 2 at 11am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
