Obituary of Walter Pasnik

On February 25th, 2023 Walter died peacefully at the age of 95. He is predeceased by his first wife Leda Pasnik (nee St.Antoine) and his son Wayne. Walter remarried at the age of 77 and leaves behind his wife Maureen, his son Alan and his beloved golden retriever Claire. Walter was employed at Wyeth Pharmaceutical in Windsor for the his entire working career retiring in his early 60’s. Throughout his life he enjoyed a number of hobbies. Having a beautiful singing voice he joined the Windsor Light Opera and remained a charter member until his death. Walter also had a passionate interest in golfing and more than once remarked how he had achieved 5 holes in one at Beach Grove Golf and County Club where he was a long-standing member including a hole in one on each of the Course’s 3 par threes. Finally, Walter had a passionate interest in the stock market; an interest that continued until the final days of his life. Walter’s zest for life, optimism and positive outlook will surely be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, donations in Walter's memory may be made to St. Marks on the Lake Church. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at St Mark’s by the Lake in St Clair Beach at 11am.
