Obituary of Dennix Jorgensen
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 20, 2023, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of 65 years to Birte. Cherished father of Jack Jorgensen, Joan Dunn (Gene), Jeanette Vallance (David) and daughter-in-law Rosemary. Proud Morfar of Nicholas (Stephanie), Jordan, Nicole (Matt), Ashley, Timothy (2023), Jacquelyn, Joshua (Kaylin), Jacob and Oldefar of Liam, Crue, Brynlee, Thomas, Abigail, Ella and Lila. Dear brother of Palle Christensen. Loving brother-in-law to Elly Mladick (Richard), and Jane Michaud (Robert) and their families. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Dennix was born in Denmark, where he was an architect with the Danish Shipyard. He was an avid soccer player, who enjoyed all sports. He immigrated to Canada when he was 30 with his family of 5, where he became a true entrepreneur. He was a member of New Song Church, where he was affectionately known to everyone as “Dad”, and brought a lot of joy to everyone with an infectious laugh. The family would like to thank the Staff of WRH - Met Campus for all their dedicated care and compassion, especially to Head Nurse Jackie, as well as the staff of Windsor Essex Alzheimer’s Society - Daycare program.
Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL - BANWELL CHAPEL (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E.) 519-253-7234 on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 11:00 am in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Windsor Essex County Alzheimer’s Society, New Song Church or Windsor Hospice.
