He will be missed by his fur baby, Ticko. Loved and always remembered by his first granddaughter Milani Mara Maries. Dear grandfather to Gracie and Nia. Born in the country of Romania on August 07, 1968, he moved to Canada in 1998 to follow his dream. Olimpiu and his wife have known each other for 35 years, and celebrated 32 years of marriage. They originally settled in Windsor then lived in Guelph and Cambridge before remaining in Windsor and building their future. Olimpiu was known to be hardworking, dedicated and a loving husband and father. He had a passion for cars and driving. He worked as a truck driver in Romania and continued to when he came to Canada. In 2011 he began to work for Fulger Transport and we cannot thank Radu and Renata Bogdanel enough for all their outpouring support and love towards him. Olimpiu was always full of life and is remembered by his humor, love for cars, dancing to anything and everything, and of course his intense passion for Spanish music that he would play any chance he got. He was always a Volvo and Volkswagen lover to anyone who knew him and he was the go-to for car advice. He was also the jack of all trades; he knew how to do it all and never hesitated to offer his help to loved ones. Throughout the years even after the diagnosis, Olimpiu continued to remain positive and showed his love for life and living, and his love for his friends and family. He never hesitated that he would beat this, until the very end when he wanted to make sure all the goodbyes were said. May he be guided by angels through the gates of heaven and rest infinitely until we meet again.
We would like to thank all the wonderful doctors and nurses who were along with him on this journey from Windsor Regional Hospital, especially 4west Metropolitan campus, London Health Sciences, and Hospice Windsor where he was able to pass surrounded by loved ones in comfort.
