Obituary of Mary Frimer

It is with great sadness we report the passing of Mary Frimer (Powell) on January 18, 2023 at the age of 83 after a valiant battle with dementia. Reunited with the love of her life, husband John Frimer (d. 1985).

Loving mother to Alana Frimer, Jodi Boyer and Carlene Frimer and mother-in-law to Ryan Kloppenburg, Patrick Boyer and Saci Mowinski.

Cherished grandmother to Teagan, Trevor, John and Caleigh (Kloppenburg), Hannah and Alexa (Boyer) and Malika Mowinski.

Best friend and neighbour to Beverly Watson.

Mary was one of nine siblings, survived by Patricia McNamara, Margaret Soulliere and Ida Rainford. She was predeceased by Diana McNamara, Sylvia Evoy, Suzanne O’Donahue, Peter Powell and Francis Powell.

Mary will be missed by her large extended family, including many brothers and sisters in-laws, as well as nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of the staff at Heron Terrace for their wonderful care and compassion during Mary’s time there.

As per Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Monday, March 13th, 2023 at Windsor Chapel, Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. East (519-253-7234) from 2pm - 4:30 pm.
