Obituary of Virginia Rosalie Catherine Poff

POFF, Virginia Rosalie Catherine Nee Schmenk Passed away peacefully on January 18th, 2023 at the age of 72. Loving wife to William “Bill” Poff, whom she was married to for 50 years. Reunited with parents Harold and Anne Schmenk. Beloved sister to Kathleen (Gary) Hawkes and Tracey (Fred) Rehman. Cherished aunt to Daina, Adam, Leland and Alexis. Fondly remembered as a great-aunt to 8 nieces and nephews. Virginia will as well be missed by many extended family and friends. Virginia was always known to be a lover of animals, having many cats over the years. She was an accomplished weaver, spun her own wool, and enjoyed knitting. Her love for nature began as she grew up on a farm in her early years, and loved visiting friends’ farms as she grew older. She will be deeply missed. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Rd E, 519.253.7234. A private family interment will take place at Heavenly Rest Cemetery (5005 Howard Ave).
