Obituary of Yaga Mrkalj

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Yaga Mrkalj(nee Matovina). Yaga
passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 9, 2023, her forever love Dragan
Mike Mrkalj. Loving mother to Tim, Mark and their spouses Nada and Sharon. World's best
BaBa to Sara, Holly, Natasha and Kevin. Yaga was born on March 29, 1949 in Saborsko,
Croatia to Mile and Ana Matovina (deceased). She is survived by her sisters Marica (deceased),
Jeka, Nada and Ankica as well as her two brothers Marko and Ante as well as many cousins,
nephews and nieces. Yaga was a long time business owner and had a passion for decorating
and sewing. She was a member of the Forest Glade Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and
was active in sharing the bible's message with interested ones in our community. We would like
to express our thanks to the staff at Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Inc. for taking care of

There will be a memorial held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday January
21, 2023 at 1:30pm, 900 North Service Rd.E, Windsor, Ontario, N8X 5B1.
