GRIFFIN, Eva “Barbara”

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eva Barbara Griffin surrounded by her family on January 8, 2023, at Met Hospital at the age of 84 years.
Beloved wife of William (Bill) Griffin of 61 years. Beloved mother of two sons, Dan (Jennifer) of Windsor, and David (Jennifer) of Rocky Point, NY. Much loved grandmother of Avery and Afton.
Beloved aunt of Kim Kennedy- Matthews (Delhi) and Cyndi Kennedy-Waite (Henderson, NC). Also survived by many cousins.
Predeceased by her parents, Martin Anthony (1986) and Eva Barbara (Nee Schafer) (1974) Lotz, sister Linda Waite (2017), and brother-in-law, Lanny Waite (2018).
Barbara was a University of Western Ontario (Brescia) graduate, a past school teacher in Sudbury, and a supply teacher in Sarnia before moving to Windsor in 1996 with her husband.
Mom was a caring, loving, god fearing woman, always there to help when her family needed her. A gentle soul, never wanting to cause pain or upset to anyone she was a gift from God and now is at peace with him.
Our heart felt thanks go out to Nurse Laura Arigan for going above and beyond in making mom comfortable in her final hours, and Dr. Seski and all the staff on the 5th Floor of Met Hospital. Special thanks to Paramed and Bayshore PSW’s for their help in mom’s care.
