CARPENE, Elsie (nee Muzzatti)

Passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side on December 18, 2022 at the age of 99 years old. Loving wife to Armand (2013) for 68 years. Devoted mother to Janis Miller (Richard), Wendy Jamieson (Neil), Shelley Eberhard (Mark) and Richard Carpene (Karin). Adoring Nonna to Tarah (Joshua), Andrea (Svetan), Reid (Sherine), David (Kristie), Daniel (Kaylin) and Sarah. Bis-Nonna to Luka, Livya, Mila, Aiden, Isabella, Madeleine and Theodore. Beloved sister to Joyce (late Oliver) and late brother William (late Dorothy). Predeceased by her parents Giovanni-Baptista and Faelia Muzzatti, and Antonio and Regina Carpene. She will be missed by dear friend and companion, Rosana. Elsie immigrated to Canada in 1926 with her family from Pordenone Udine, Italy at the age of 2 years old. Deeply devoted to her husband Armando and her children, in each of their milestones and achievements. As a Nonna, her grandchildren always brought a smile to her face and her pasta recipes will always bring joy to their hearts for years to come. Elsie inherited many creative talents from her mother. She was a skilled seamstress and loved to cook and garden. While heartbroken by her passing, we are comforted to know our mother was blessed with a wonderful life. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Thursday December 22, 2022 from 2pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. With Prayers at 4:30pm. Visitation will continue at Windsor Chapel from 10am and Funeral Mass will take place at St. Angela Merici Church on December 23, 2022 at 11am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
