Obituary of Janet Ann Brooks

Passed away peacefully wrapped in the love she so freely gave to others.  Beloved wife of Allen with whom they shared over 57 years of marriage.  Daughter of the late Arthur and Alma Wallace.  Reunited in heaven with her son Wallace.  Cherished mother of Andrew (Jennifer) and doting Nana to the joys of her life Laryssa (Eryk Titus), Aidan and Avery.  Survived by extended family and friends. Janet was a Torchbearer member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years and will be deeply missed by her sisters in Gamma Xi Master.  Janet was a true matriarch of her family where life was always better with a margarita or glass of wine in hand.  Family gatherings poolside, elaborate (this is just a simple dinner) meals, annual Brooks Family Turkey Pulls and memories of globe trotting with Allen will live on in our hearts forever. Janet was a  dedicated parishioner of Emmanuel United Church, where she held many executive and leadership roles over the years.  The family wishes to offer their deepest gratitude to Hospice of Windsor for their compassionate care given to Janet during her time there.  Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel (South location) 3048 Dougall Avenue (519) 253-7234 on Saturday December 10,  2022 from 11:30 a.m. followed by a  brief Beta Sigma Phi Memorial Service and Funeral service at 1:00 p.m. officated by Rev. George Bozanich.  Cremation to follow.  Memorial donations to Emmanuel United Church would be appreciated by the family.  Known for her love of all things sparkly, we know her bling will radiant in heaven forever.
