Obituary of Jonathan Joseph

April 10, 1935 - November 28, 2022

Our beloved Father, Uncle, Grandfather, Great grandfather and Friend passed on into eternal rest November 28, 2022 while he slept. Jonathan, better known as Fred was 87 years old. Born on the Island of Dominica in the West Indies. The fourth of eight children, born to parents Joel and Virginia Joseph. He is survived by his siblings Barbara and Augustin. Jonathan is reunited with parents and siblings Robert, Elizabeth, Beatrice, Daniel and Nisbertha. A loving father to Martha, Donald, Allison and Judy. He will be missed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fred will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He immigrated to Canada in 1970 from Dominica to seek the Canadian Dream. Jonathan was a carpenter by trade and was an active member of Local #18 Carpenter’s Union for over 50 years. Upon retirement, he remained active as a golfer, gardener and puttering around in his garage. Jonathan was a kind, considerate, helpful and a patient man, always willing to assist. He is loved and will be greatly missed.
