Obituary of Eileen Strome

STROME, Eileen (nee Jewell)

Passed away peacefully on November 21, 2022 at 98 years of age. Predeceased by Melvin, her beloved husband of 77 incredible years. Beloved Mother of Roy (Patsy), Glenn (Tammy) and Alzina Jones (Steve Konecny). Proud grandmother of Eric Strome (Tasha), Caitlyn Strome (Gavin Kelly), Ryan Jones (Vanessa Burrows), Haley Jones, Cathann Schell (Chris), Madison Strome (Brandon Ives) and Great grandchildren Lyla Schell, Lewis Strome and Sadie Strome. Eileen was a devoted wife and incredible Mother. She loved family, living life to the fullest, spending time with the ones she loved. Mom was actively involved with the United Church for many years, was an avid and sharp bridge player, enjoyed watching Detroit Tigers and Toronto Maple Leafs. She will be sadly missed by all those whose lives she has touched. Visitation will take place at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Chapel, on Thursday, November 24, 2022 from 10:30 am until time of Complete Service in the Chapel at 12:00 noon. Cremation to follow. A private family interment will take place at a later date when Mom will be reunited with the love of her life, Melvin.
