Monforton (nee Pollock), Leona Mary

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 13th at the age of 96.

Beloved wife of the late Bernard (2010).

Loving and devoted mother to Carol and husband Terri Burney, Maureen and husband Don Gordon, and Doug Monforton (Nancy 2017); all of Windsor. Cherished "Nanny" to Carey (Cassie), Ryan (Mary) and Craig (Jackie) Burney, Christie (John) Downes, Jeff (Hannah) Gordon, Heather (Alan) Soltis, Scott (Angela) Monforton, and Matthew (Michelle) Monforton. "Big Nanny" to 19 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her sister Marion Howatson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She lived independantly till the age of 95 and then moved to Kensington Court Retirement Residence, where she was treated wonderfully by the kind and personable staff.

Donations to the RCL Branch 594 Poppy Fund would be appreciated by the family.

Memorial Visitation at Windsor Chapel, South Chapel, 3048 Dougall Ave. on Thursday, November 17th from 4-8 pm.

Memorial Visitation to continue at Corpus Christi Church after 10 am Friday until Memorial Mass at Corpus Christi Church 1400 Cabanna Rd. On Friday, November 18th at 11 am.
