Obituary of Claudio LaCivita
LaCivita, Claudio
January 15, 1961 - November 2, 2022
With profound sadness and broken hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Claudio at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a year long valiant battle with cancer.
Darling and devoted husband and sweetheart to Rita (Nardone) with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.
Loving and adored father to Lucas (Teodora) and Dante. Beloved and cherished son to Salvatore and Giovanna LaCivita and dear brother to Anthony LaCivita. Loving son in law to Ida Nardone and predeceased by father-in-law Tommaso (2019). Dear brother-in-law to Salvatore Nardone (Leanne) and Tony Nardone (Jill). Loving Zio to Courtenay (Matthew), Nadya (Mark), Aaron (Maggie) and Justin. Claudio loved and will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Claudio was a man who was deeply committed and supportive to his family, whom he loved above all else. He was selfless and kind. He was a role model to his sons and imparted upon them the most important lessons in life, which they will carry with them forever. He enjoyed the simple things in life and found joy in spending time with his family and closest friends. A man of integrity and a strong work ethic, Claudio was retired from the insurance industry, where he spent over thirty years proudly serving thousands of clients. A man who loved his country, he spent many years serving proudly as a Sergeant in the Windsor Regiment (RCAC), where he made lifelong friendships. In his spare time, Claudio enjoyed playing recreational hockey and cheering on all of his favourite Philadelphia sports teams.
Our world is a darker place without Claudio. The family wishes to thank the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Windsor Regional Hospital and Hospice Windsor for their compassionate care with special thanks to Dr. Geoff Butler and nurse Hayley.
