Obituary of Stjepan Kirin
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Steve on January 23rd, 2020. He was born on August 12, 1921 in Podrebar, Bosiljevo, Croatia. Beloved husband to Katica (nee Frankovic) for almost 68 years. Loving father to Rosemary (Joe) Zugcic and Ann (Ivan) Projic. Treasured Dede of Alison (Goran) Dodik, Lynn Zugcic, Melissa (Ivan) Peric and Melanie Projic. Loving Pradjed of Zara, Dino, Cvita, Noa and Kristian. Predeceased by his parents Nikola and Mara Kirin and brothers, Josip, Janko, Ivan and sister, Anka. Survived by nephew Janko Kirin (Croatia) and many nieces and nephews.
Steve was retired from Chrysler Canada. He was a faithful parishioner and past president of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church Council. Steve enjoyed spending many summers and holidays with his family at their cottage in Grand Bend. He also spent many winters in Acapulco with friends and family. He loved gardening and sitting under his grapevines. He was known for his kind heart and was a true role model for all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E 519.253.7234 on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 2-5 & 7-9pm. Parish Prayers at 8pm. Funeral service from the funeral home on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 9:45am going to St Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church (1701 Turner Rd) for funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
