Obituary of Ida Costa

It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished mother Ida. 

With her loving sons by her side and holding her hand, she was called into eternal life on September 25, 2022 at the age 86 yrs.  

Ida is reunited with her beloved husband Olindo (2002).  Dearest mother of Dennis Costa, and Ricardo Costa.  Predeceased by parents Antonio (1996) and Francesca (1983), and sister Luisa Franchetto (2018) and surviving husband Vettore.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins both of Canada and Italy.  Ida retired after 21 years of dedicated service to the Order of the Sisters of the Holy Name of Jesus formerly known as St. Mary's Academy.  A special thank you to Dr. Henry Fortuna for over 25 years of exceptional care, Dr. Sahar Khan, and the fantastic team of Doctors and Nurses at Windsor Regional Metropolitan Campus 4 North, and also her PSW Jennifer and Home Care Nurse Nancy.

Visiting at Windsor Chapel (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Avenue, 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at Corpus Christi Church (1400 Cabana Road West) on Thursday, September 29, 2022 for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.  If you desire, donations to the Windsor Cancer Centre or Hospice of Windsor would be greatly appreciated.
