Obituary of Fernando de Jesus de Lauw Almeida

Fernando de Jesus de Lauw Almeida has decided that it is time to move on to new horizons. On Sept. 10th he took his final journey here with us, and caught a flight to his next realm. His presence here was too short, but he made all of us a little bit better just by being himself. While he was with us he lived, he loved and he laughed. And he gave each of us little nuggets of wisdom to carry forward. He also fought his own battle with depression for several years, and he fought it for as long as he was able. Fernando has found peace in his own way and on his own terms. While he has left us behind, in a world slightly less joyful, he has also left each of us with those little bits of wisdom, that only he could deliver. All those little bits and pieces of Fernando will continue to live within each of us. To try to name all of those who will miss him is not what he would want. He was able to see all of us individually, and find a way to touch our souls. Family and friends will miss him and feel the emptiness where he resides in our hearts. Fernando would want us to to remember him not as a person who lost the battle with depression, but rather as the person who gave us the tools from his own supply, to help us with our struggles. It is my hope, as a father, that each and every person who knew Fernando, takes the best parts of his memory, and passes it on to others. Fernando is gone, but never lost. A visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and from 7:00pm and 9:00pm on 2022-09-16 at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, (Central Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd E.
