I bought a light bulb today at the Dollar store. The package said “Dazzling brilliant light”. It made me think of you. That’s what you were, a dazzling brilliant light that filled up the room wherever you went. Mostly it was your laugh that filled the space, sometimes it was your purse. Your laugh though… when I think of you, I picture you laughing. The kind that comes from deep down, and makes you throw your head back. The kind that makes the Fleeton chin wiggle. A laugh that will be missed. Aunt Marilyn, the world seems a bit darker without you in it, but your dazzling brilliance radiates on and lights the way for those of us left behind.
i always remembered you telling me that whenever you find a penny that it’s a penny from Heaven so feel free to send some my way, but remember inflation and that pennys don’t exist anymore,so might wanna go with $5 bills just to be on the safe side.
I hope you held onto the hand rail as you climbed the stairway to Heaven, and if by chance God really was always watching, then you better have buckled your seatbelt as you rode down the highway to Hell.
Until we shall laugh together again, all my love

Last time I saw my Aunt Marilyn I told her about a time I remembered her playing the organ and all the ‘grown ups’ were signing while us kids slept on the couch and I woke up hearing a familiar tune that I couldn’t name. Over the years I heard this song and told whoever I was with of the story of my aunt playing this song. After telling Marilyn about my memory, I spent the entire next day searching for the song and I found it! 96 Tears by Question Mark and The Mysterians. I didn’t get the chance to confirm the song with her but when we meet again, I hope to get my answer. Bronwen

To my friend in your time of loss. The love of a mother (Marilyn) can never be replaced. Her caring nature and her warm spirit will live on in you always.
I am also gracious for the opportunity that was given to me this summer when I had came to visit and sat with her.
We talked, laughed and I shared my life and accomplishments with her. She was so happy to see how we have grown. As you mourn the loss of a very special mother, may you find strength in all of your wonderful memories together. She will never be far from our hearts
God Bless you Ryan and the entire family.
Love Jackie

To all of Marilyn’s family, our deepest condolences . I had the pleasure of growing up with your mom and knowing her for 65 years.
Low and behold that our sons didn’t turn out to be best friends from grade school till current. You will indeed be missed by many Mar, I promise to keep my promise I made to you on our last visit….RIP, you are now pain free……Much Love to all of you, Jayne & Paul Talbot.

You said that the sands of time have run out in your hourglass. But what do we do with an hourglass once the sand has run out? We turn it over and let the sands begin to flow again.
So now your journey continues, only this time with wings as big, bold and beautiful as your kind heart and soul. Once again reunited with the loved ones who passed before you that you have carried in your heart and memories for so many years. You have now achieved eternal life. To me eternal life comes not in death, but in the lives of our children and grandchildren who were gifted to us to carry on our legacy. You will always be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving you.
Rest easy my beautiful sister and best friend. I will miss you most of all Scarecrow. Till we meet again. All my love all my life Colleen and family.

I only knew Marilyn for a short time but I wouldn't trade that short time for anything. She told it how it was and expressed exactly what she wanted. I had the pleasurer of taking care of Marilyn early mornings and mid afternoons. I sincerely send big hugs to the whole family. I could tell you were all a close net family and always showed so much love for our lady :) Marilyn will be greatly missed by all. Thank you to the family for sharing a little bit of Marilyn with me. She will always have a piece of my heart. Rest easy my lady. Until we meet again so we can finish up some of our chats...

Hi Sylvia. This message comes from Marilyn's sister Colleen. I just want to thank you for the loving care that you showed our "Lady" . Your gentle nature and genuine concern was greatly appreciated by all of the family You treated her dignity and respect in her final moments. Hopefully we will meet again someday. Perhaps when two Irishmen walk "OUT" of a bar. Thank you again for all you do.
